CBSE has decided to mainstream Health and Physical Education for classes I to XII with the aim of holistic development of the child, leading to a well-balanced individual in all walks of life. We follow the revised and updated transactional strategies, detailed guidelines and methodology for administering HPE (Health and Physical Education) by CBSE. Also, our teachers refer and work with the students based on the guidelines given in Manual on ‘Mainstreaming Health and Physical Education’.

The primary focus of the Health and Physical Education (HPE) classes in our school, is on sports, games, and outdoor activities. As envisioned in the new format of HPE, each student takes activities categorized under the following strands:
Strand 1: Games/Sports
Strand 2: Health and Fitness
Strand 3: SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action)

Our school showcases the record of activities taken under strands 1 and 2 on our website under the ‘Sports Corner’ and updates at regular intervals. In case of SEWA, records are kept ready as per the guidelines by CBSE.
Our school conducts several activities, in accordance with the CBSE guidelines to enhance development of various skills and foster a better and competitive environment for the overall holistic development of the students.
The Class Teacher works as a mentor and guides the students to perform SEWA activities and the sports teachers in turn guide and motivate the students for playing games and doing other physical activities.
