“MAY THE SUN IN HIS COURSE VISIT NO LAND FREER, HAPPIER, MORE VIBRANT, AND SOULFUL, THAN OUR OWN COUNTRY INDIA.”

The day was celebrated in our school with great éclat. The school building was aesthetically decorated with flowerpots and national flags. Loudspeakers were pouring out patriotic songs. Everyone felt jingoistic and glad because it was a matter of great pride for all of us. The school’s Provost Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal unfurled the national flag. In his speech sir spoke a few words about freedom fighters and their contributions. He encouraged the students to be warriors as they are the successors of our country. The main attractions of Republic Day celebration were patriotic songs, speeches on freedom fighters, and folk dances by students of different houses. The march past added glory to this eventful day. The students of NCC and from different houses executed a perfect coordination of hands and feet in their march past. It was a mind-blowing performance by all the students.

The trophy for the best March Past was presented to Vashisht House.The Bhavanites gave a scintillating performance of folk dances representing the different states of India with Janak House securing the first position. The melodious music and the graceful movements of the dancers were enthralling.

In the Junior section, Janak House bagged the All-Rounder Champion Trophy. Kabir House got the best award for sports and the Co-Curricular trophy was again secured by Janak House.

This year the Best Co-Curricular Trophy for the senior section was bagged by Vashisht House and the Best House in Sports was awarded to Janak House. The All-rounder Champion Trophy was also won by Vashisht House, filling the students’ hearts with great joy and triumph. The auspicious occasion culminated with pride in everyone’s hearts and esteem for the tricolour. JAI HIND.
